STORY
TIME OF MY LIFE is a new feature documentary that follows a group of medically fragile young adults as they come of age in a world where life is short and the obstacles are many. In spite of their extraordinary circumstances, they share ordinary adolescent desires – to be independent, make friends, have an intimate relationship, or figure out a career. Their remarkable stories all come together at the George Mark Children’s House in San Leandro, CA, a pediatric palliative care center that has brought tremendous meaning and joy to their lives. Through their struggles, triumphs, and search for normalcy emerges a moving narrative of grit and transformation - illuminating what it means to fully live, die, and be human.

The poignant story of these young adult's brave journeys throws a spotlight on timely questions about how society supports young adults living with childhood illness, about inclusion and how we value difference, and about how we as a society think about death and dying. Our goal with the film is to increase awareness about these young adult’s unique challenges and triumphs and the value of pediatric palliative care in their lives through a national television broadcast and streaming distribution as well as a robust educational outreach and awareness campaign to engage audiences in rich public discourse.

FILMMAKERS
We welcome you to join us on this journey to help make this film and educational outreach campaign come to life. We are in the early development stage and are working towards more editing and filming with these young adults and others to pitch to charitable foundations, TV broadcasters and streamers,  and film buyers at documentary film forums.  Your support will propel this project to the next level and help bring the remarkable stories of these young adults to light.

As an early supporter of the film and outreach program we will keep you informed about the development of the film, invite you to local screenings and premieres, and include your name in the Special Thanks section of the film credits at the end of the film and on our website.  Any size contribution is greatly appreciated and will have a tremendous impact at this early stage.
